LG Display Passes 500 mln Mark in Large-sized LCD Modules

LG Display said Monday that its production of large-sized liquid crystal display (LCD) modules exceeded the 500 million mark. The milestone was reached 14 years and 6 months after the flat panel maker began production of such modules, which measure 10 inches or longer across, according to the company.
Of the total production, 38.9 percent have been used in laptop computers, accounting for the largest share, followed by 38.1 percent and 20.8 percent for monitors and TV screens, respectively, the company said.
